High frequency technology
The evolution and new possibilities of industrial welding
High-frequency (HF) welding is an advanced technology that Balacchi has perfected over more than 40 years. This revolutionary process uses high-frequency electromagnetic waves to generate heat, allowing for the precise and efficient bonding of plastic materials and other conductive substances.
Our expertise and innovation in this field enable us to provide cutting-edge solutions tailored to your industrial welding needs.
High-frequency (HF) welding relies on the induction of high-frequency electric currents into the materials being joined. The heat generated from molecular movement melts the materials together, creating a strong and durable bond. This process is highly efficient and minimizes the risk of material damage while ensuring exceptional welding quality.

Advantages of HF Welding Over Traditional Techniques
  • Improved Precision: HF welding provides much more accurate control over the welding process compared to traditional methods like stitching or direct heat welding.
  • Increased Speed: The HF process is significantly faster, boosting productivity and reducing downtime.
  • Product Quality: HF welding ensures cleaner, stronger joints, enhancing both the durability and appearance of the finished product.
  • Versatility: It is suitable for a wide range of materials and applications, from producing curtains and tarps to manufacturing packaging and containers.
  • Energy Efficiency: This technology consumes less energy than traditional techniques, helping to lower operational costs.

HF Welding with Balacchi
Balacchi utilizes a frequency of 27.12 MHz to generate an electromagnetic field that heats materials internally through dielectric heating, minimizing the risk of damage to outer layers. This method is effective for various materials, including PVC, polyurethanes, nylon, ABS, modified TOP, and PETG, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, from tarpaulins and tents to inflatable boats and conveyor belts.
Balacchi stands out for its optimized electrode design and adherence to specific welding guidelines, ensuring high-quality and durable welds.
